Osaka photo diary

Today I've been day dreaming of a new trip to Japan. I found a bunch of pictures from my trip to Osaka in 2011 on my computer, that I haven't showed you before.
But oh my, if there's a place in the world that makes me mute because of it's greatness, it's Japan.
Osaka is a big city with a lot of people, but still I felt like it was never too crowded. People walked systematically and public transportation never felt like a hell. And on top of this, people were so polite and nice. Everything's so different there compared to Europe and I think it's really fascinating!
I'm going to continue dreaming of going back... hope you enjoy the pictures!

Happy kids at Heian-Jingu, beautiful hand fans, antique kimonos and yummy instant noodles...

Took the train from Kyoto to Osaka. Almost everyone was sleeping on the train...

My favorite fluffy thing; Totoro<3 lots of fresh baked goodies and more noodles. Soyjoy bar was good!

Visited the beautiful Osaka Castle. The view from the top was amazing!

The view from our hotel room in Osaka was pretty amazing too. Italian Tomato Café was the place to eat in the mornings if you wanted something else than noodles :D

THE CITY THAT STOLE A PIECE OF MY HEART

Here comes the last part of my Kyoto trip. Just random pictures of the lovely city. It's about two months ago I visited that beautiful country and I miss it almost every day. I really lost a piece of my heart to that country. That just means I have to go back there someday!

Okay, well...even if I'm done showing you pictures of Kyoto, it doesn't mean I'm all done with my Japan trip. I'm going to move on and show you pictures of a bigger city called........OSAKA! Yay! But I'm going to save that for later... Hope you guys like to see pics from my trip even if it's not that current anymore.

HEIAN-JINGU

Oh no, I'm not done showing you guys photos from my trip to Japan in October, hah! I took so much photos there and I just want to share the beauty of the country with you:) Hope you don't get tired of these..

Anyways, this Heian-Jingu shrine was the last one we visited in Kyoto and it really blew me away. It was so big and red and the really white sand on the plaza was blinding us when the sun hit it. Behind the big red shrine there was a really beautiful garden with plants, ponds and traditional buildings. At the bigger pond you could also feed the fish and the turtles, which was really fun! We stayed there for quite a while, just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the garden.
Btw can someone tell me what they are trying to say on the "please, mind your step" sign..hehe.. I think it was kind of cute... :)

HONENIN TEMPLE & OTOYO SHRINE

Earlier I posted some pictures of the beautiful Ginkaku-ji temple in Kyoto and now here we have some smaller temples not far away from Ginkaku-ji. The first one is Honenin temple, which was found in 1681 and you could definitely see that it was a really old place! There was a certain feeling, very quiet and mystical place. The second one was actually not a temple but a shrine, a very cute shrine if you ask me. It's called Otoyo Shrine and it had mice statues to guard the shrine. It is said that mice bring the health, long life and happiness!
